Job description

Senior Children's Residential Support Worker

Salary: £35,270 - £39,542 assuming good attendance and up to 4 sleep-ins per month

Job Overview

Working in our Children’s Homes means being a part of a young person’s day-to-day life, supporting them through their highs and lows. Our shift leaders help young people regain their childhood and create pathways to become well-rounded adults. The role is rewarding but challenging, with small victories along the way.

Responsibilities
  • Support young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations of the home.
  • Support and supervise staff, deputize for Team Leaders when needed.
  • Build relationships with young people, demonstrating compassion, resilience, and leadership.
Benefits
  • Salary: £30,030 - £34,302
  • Sleep-in payments: up to 4 per month at £80 each, plus £1,400 Attendance Allowance (subject to good attendance)

Requirements
  • Can-do attitude, team player, empathetic and honest.
  • Resilience to handle challenging situations.
  • Full UK driving license held for at least 12 months.
  • If without a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, we will support your studies.
  • Participation in our 4-week ‘Care Academy’ training program.
