We are currently recruiting for Senior Residential Care Workers to work in our 4 bedded Children's Home located in Syston, Leicestershire.
We are committed to delivering therapeutic care to children and young people to provide them with the best emotional and physical environment to live in. Children and young people residing at the home may have experienced significant trauma and may have specific learning, physical and/or emotional needs. , you will play a crucial role in ensuring our homes provide safety, stability, and opportunities for young people to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:


Lead by Example:
Support and manage care workers on shift, ensuring best practices in care.
Shift Leadership:
Oversee daily activities, make key decisions, and ensure smooth shift operations.
Safeguarding & Behaviour Support:
Help children work through past experiences while promoting their safety and development.
Engagement & Direct Work:
Build positive relationships through key working, behaviour management, and life skills development.
Multi-Agency Collaboration:
Work alongside social workers, educators, and health professionals to ensure the best outcomes.
Home & Welfare Management:
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children.
Administrative Duties:
Complete care plans, risk assessments, and key documentation.
What We're Looking For:


To work as part of a team to support young people in all aspects of their lives including planning activities, cooking, cleaning, supporting educational and health needs. Experience in a residential childcare setting with a strong understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management. Ability to lead a team and provide supervision and support to care workers. Strong communication skills to engage with children, families and professionals. To act as a positive role model and create positive relationships with young people where they can thrive To ensure the young people are effectively safeguarded at all times To support young people to develop their independence skills To deliver consistent high-quality care that meets the young people's needs To work as part of a team on a rota basis covering 365 day per year On average the role requires staff to complete 2 sleep in shifts per week which are paid in addition at an additional 60 per sleep.
Personal Requirements:


At least 1-2 years' experience in a residential children's home setting. A level 3/4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards this). Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and support others.
