Hours: 4 days and sleep nights on, 6 days off (365 rota)

Pay rate: £41,751 to £46,197 per annum, including opportunities to pick up overtime at an enhanced rate

What We Are Looking For

Bly House is a two-bed, Ofsted registered children's home providing immediate intervention and trauma-informed therapeutic support. Over a 12-week placement, our young people are given security, support, and stabilisation in a nurturing and peaceful environment. Each placement offers PACE principle residential care, access to education, and participation in outdoor/adventure activities.

Estimated full-time salary: Based on a pay rate of £14.15 to £16.05 per hour for days (depending on qualifications) and working 12 sleep-nights per month on average (at £60 per sleep night).

Essential Requirements:

  • A minimum of 12 months experience in a children's residential care home
  • A Level 3 (or above) diploma in residential childcare (or close to completion)
  • A full UK driving licence
  • A keen interest in outdoor and adventure activities
  • Full right to work in the UK without restrictions
  • In-depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations, and best practices
  • Training and experience in de-escalation, safe restraint, and physical intervention (such as Team Teach, MAPA, etc.)
  • Values aligned with Esland's, such as a therapeutic, person-centred approach to childcare
  • Applicants must be aged 21 or above due to industry regulations
  • Successful employment is subject to satisfactory full enhanced disclosure, right to work, and reference checks, which the company will cover the costs for.
