Job Description:

Our client is currently looking to recruit a remote-based Childcare Lawyer on an initial 3-month basis.

Remote work with 1 day in the Northamptonshire office.

£60 per hour.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working within Childcare as a Lawyer / Solicitor, preferably with exposure to the public sector. The role involves providing comprehensive, client-focused legal advice and support, including:

• Undertaking all types of child protection legal work, advising the Children’s Services Department, and supporting the client in meeting legal duties. This includes acting on pre-proceedings cases, applications for care/supervision orders, Deprivations of Liberty, Secure Accommodation orders, Female Genital Mutilation Protection orders, Forced Marriage Protection orders, Placement and Adoption orders.
• Advocating on behalf of the client in the Family Court regarding child protection and safeguarding cases, and negotiating in tribunals, committees, and panels.
• Providing proactive legal support to help meet the client’s policy and strategic objectives, minimizing legal challenges or complaints, with clear and outcome-focused advice.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Childcare Solicitor / Lawyer to join an established organization on an initial 3-month contract, with an immediate start preferred.
