Job summary

Caritas Recruitment Limited in Leeds is seeking an Advanced Practitioner in Child Protection to lead safeguarding work and support vulnerable children and families in a dynamic, supportive team. You will coordinate complex cases with families and other professionals, and guide junior staff.

Qualifications

• A recognized social work qualification (e.g., DipSW, BA/MA Social Work).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualifying experience in child protection or related fields.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with children, families and professionals.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing complex child protection cases, ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
• Conducting thorough assessments and developing comprehensive care plans with families and other professionals.
• Providing expert guidance and support to junior staff and students.
• Engaging with multi-agency partners to coordinate effective interventions and services.
• Contributing to the development of policies and practices that enhance child protection services.
