Bradford Children and Families Trust is hiring a Lead Child Protection Practitioner to provide expert leadership within the MACPT, identifying and responding to significant harm to children in collaboration with police, health, education and social care partners.

You will chair strategy discussions, oversee Section 47 enquiries, and guide colleagues through complex safeguarding decisions, aiming for timely, evidence-based actions that protect children and families while promoting restorative

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
• Minimum three years' senior-level experience in child protection and safeguarding.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Extensive knowledge of child protection legislation and safeguarding frameworks.
• Ability to lead complex multi-agency enquiries.
• Flexible working to meet service needs.

Responsabilités

• Lead, coordinate and chair strategy discussions and provide professional leadership.
• Lead section 47 enquiries, plan and analyse with partners to safeguard children.
• Chair child protection conferences and assess likelihood of significant harm.
• Analyse multi-agency information to support decision making.
• Provide consultation, mentoring and professional support to colleagues.
• Promote family-led decision making and involve families early.
• Use research and audit findings to improve practice.
• Quality assure assessments, risk analyses, records and plans.
• Identify strengths and areas for improvement across practice.
• Build trusted relationships with children, families and partners.
