Job summary

Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join the Knowsley CYPMHS community team. The role involves duty, assessments, caseload management and therapeutic intervention for children and young people within the THRIVE framework.

We welcome applicants with CAMHS experience and a track record of multi‑agency collaboration. The 12‑month fixed‑term post requires DBS clearance; flexible working requests will be considered.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a caseload of children and young people with varied mental health needs.
• Experience delivering evidence-based therapies such as CBT.
• Experience in a children and young people community mental health setting.
• Experience supervising students or junior staff as required.
• Ability to work within THRIVE framework and multi-agency partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Hold a caseload of children and young people with mental health needs and provide assessments and interventions.
• Deliver direct therapeutic input, formulation and care planning within THRIVE principles.
• Provide duty/ referral management support and coordinate multi‑agency meetings.
• Work as part of the CYPMHS MDT and contribute to clinical governance and CPD.
