Job summary

The Pier House in St Austell is seeking a Kitchen-focused Chef de Partie to join a fast-paced team and help deliver high quality, locally sourced dishes. You will work across sections, ensuring procedures and dish specifications are met while supporting a reliable, smooth service.

Qualifications

• You will be well organized and adaptable with a passion for delivering high quality dishes.
• Experience in a busy kitchen and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in kitchen operations and ensure consistent, high quality food.
• Follow recipes, timings and plating standards during service.
• Support the team to adapt the menu to business needs and guest requirements.

The Pier House overlooks Charlestown’s historic Georgian harbour, complete with iconic Tall Ships. The sea-facing restaurant, bar, and hotel-style rooms provide a warm welcome with the crackle of a log fire during cold months and plenty of cosy nooks to sink into. Outside, the sunny terrace is an idyllic spot for al fresco dining, taking full advantage of the impressive surroundings. You’ll be working in a picture-postcard location that’s graced the big screen across the world, with its iconic Tall Ships serving as a backdrop to blockbuster movies and TV shows alike.

Join our talented kitchen team and you’ll be working alongside passionate people, cooking with locally sourced produce to provide quality food that delights our guests. As a Chef de Partie, you will work as a team ensuring the correct procedures are followed and specifications for each dish are precisely met. You will utilise the flexibility enabled by our menu writing processes, to help adapt our offer to meet the needs of our business and our guests.
