Job summary

GAUCHO Liverpool is seeking an experienced Senior Chef de Partie to lead a section in our fresh food kitchen. You will work as part of a busy team in a fast-paced environment and deliver dishes to spec.

The successful candidate will have strong leadership, organisational skills, and be able to run a section while managing a small team. Effective communication with colleagues is essential, and a passion for fresh produce is valued. GAUCHO offers career development and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Experienced in working as Senior Chef de Partie in a fresh food kitchen.
• Must have strong operational and leadership skills in a busy kitchen.
• Ability to develop junior chefs and kitchen porters under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a kitchen section and small team.
• Coordinate with Head Chef and Sous Chefs on specials, costing, and daily GP%/payroll.
• Check inbound deliveries for quality and consistency.
• Maintain kitchen structure and ensure health and safety practices.
• Support with specials planning and stock control.
• Assist with overall kitchen operations as required.

You will need to be experienced in working as a Senior Chef de Partie in a fresh food kitchen and be extremely passionate about food. OurSenior Chef de Partiewill have experience managing a section and working as part of a busy team in a fast-paced environment. They must be able to deliver dishes following a spec and have a genuine passion for cooking.

Key responsibilities of theGAUCHO Senior Chef de Partie

• To possess strong operational and leadership skills regarding both knowledge and operation.
• To undertake dealings with suppliers of the business regarding kitchen operations set and agreed by the Head Chef & Senior Sous Chef.
• To check all inbound food deliveries to ensure consistency and quality of all items delivered for the kitchen operation.
• To maintain strict kitchen structure and development of junior chefs and kitchen porters set by the Sous Chefs.
• To assist the Head Chef and Sous Chefs with specials planning, costing, daily GP% financial sheets, payroll and all operations of the kitchen.
• Ensure all health and safety practices are followed and participate in controlling stock and portion control.
