Job Description

Bring your passion to the plate and make a difference every day as a Senior Chef at Sodexo in Priory Bristol, Heath House Lane, Stapleton, Bristol BS16 1EQ. You will play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals that support patient wellbeing and enhance the overall dining experience.

Responsibilities include:

1. Planning, preparing, and cooking meals, considering special requests or dietary requirements.
2. Ensuring compliance with food safety policies, guidelines, and regulations.
3. Taking full shift responsibility in the absence of the Head Chef.
4. Managing stock control, including ordering and checking deliveries.
5. Minimizing food waste through monitoring and adaptation.
6. Developing varied menus adhering to healthy eating and dietary needs.
7. Providing dietary options considering nutritional, religious, and personal requirements.
8. Maintaining food safety standards and kitchen cleanliness.
9. Producing meals for large groups on time and within budget.
10. Supervising catering staff to ensure quality and safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) and at least 2 years’ experience as a chef.
• Strong culinary skills and a passion for cooking.
• Ability to perform well under pressure.
• Effective communication skills and team spirit.
