Job summary

Mace seeks a Senior Manager to join the cost and commercial management team, advising on cost planning, budgeting, forecasting and procurement for education sector clients.

You’ll lead feasibility studies, manage cost planning and reporting, oversee contract preparation and final accounts, and mentor team members while supporting net zero initiatives across delivery. Chartered MRICS with NEC knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Chartered MRICS and a degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
• Detailed knowledge of NEC contracts.
• Sound knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
• Proficient knowledge and expertise in education/public sector.

Responsibilities

• Managing feasibility studies and advise on procurement strategies.
• Managing cost planning, valuations, and reporting.
• Overseeing contract preparation, administration, and final accounts.
• Applying value management techniques at project outset.
• Evaluating claims and manage design change costs.
• Driving stakeholder engagement and team leadership.
• Implementing process improvements and mentor team members.
• Supportig net zero carbon initiatives across delivery.
