Job summary

IN2 Consult in Leeds is seeking a Chartered Accountant to step into a senior Practice Manager role within an expanding firm. You will oversee client management, accounts and tax reviews, and lead a growing team of accountants.

This hands-on position involves working closely with SME and owner-managed businesses, delivering commercial advice, improving processes and driving day-to-day practice operations to support growth.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified accountant with senior-level experience.

Responsibilities

• Client Management & Advisory: manage a portfolio of SME and owner-managed clients; build long-term relationships with business owners and senior stakeholders; discuss accounts, performance, tax and business matters; provide practical commercial advice on profitability, cash flow and financial planning; identify opportunities to improve processes and controls; proactively spot additional services for clients.
• Accounts & Tax: review statutory and management accounts and corporation tax returns; ensure work is compliant and accurate; provide guidance to the accounts team on complex matters; review tax matters with tax colleagues; maintain knowledge across regulatory requirements.
• Team Leadership: manage and develop a team of accountants and support staff; allocate work, monitor workloads and deadlines; provide coaching; act as escalation point for complex matters; foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
• Practice Management: drive day-to-day operations and development of the practice; improve internal processes and systems; monitor deadlines and service delivery; support partners with decisions; oversee billing, WIP and profitability; help implement new tech and policies.
• Business Development: support growth through client relationships and referrals; attend meetings and develop tailored solutions; broaden relationships within the local business community.
