Job summary

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 nurse-leader to supervise a 15-bed vascular ward at Royal Preston Hospital. You will mentor the team, maintain high safety standards and deliver compassionate care to patients and families.

The role requires ward-based nursing experience, professional registration, and a commitment to ongoing development within a major regional centre.

Qualifications

• Awareness of recent advances within Nursing practice.
• Knowledge of Clinical Governance and safeguarding and the relevance to practice.
• Ward-based experience.
• Experience of leadership or managing teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse or Matron in ensuring the provision of excellent care with compassion for patients, relatives and visitors.
• Ensure a high standard of nursing based on assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care to meet patients' needs.
• Assist and support the Ward Manager in the safe, effective management of the area including personnel, facilities and processes.
