Job summary

Tayview Ward in NHS Fife is seeking a Senior Charge Nurse to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering assessment, care and treatment for two individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs. The role focuses on progression to community living and safeguarding patient wellbeing.

You will provide clinical leadership, develop care pathways, and work with families and partner agencies to optimise outcomes. PVG checks and UK work entitlement are required.

Qualifications

• Significant post-registration experience in Learning Disability Nursing.
• Current NMC registration as a Learning Disability Nurse or RMN.
• Strong commitment to improving lives of people with learning disabilities.
• Proven leadership skills to motivate and develop others.
• Excellent communication, organisational and decision-making abilities.
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to NHS values and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead nursing team to deliver safe, effective, person-centred care.
• Coordinate planning and delivery of individual care pathways.
• Promote positive risk management and safe community transitions.
• Foster a culture of compassion, improvement and clinical excellence.
• Support staff through supervision, mentorship and development.
• Collaborate with families and partner agencies for best outcomes.
• Contribute to service development with Clinical Service Manager and Head of Nursing.
