We are looking for a highly motivated experienced nurse to manage Medical 2/ Erisort ward at the Western Isles Hospital, Stornoway.
Medical ward 2 is a 22 bedded general medical ward comprising of acute adult medicine and stroke, Erisort ward is a 16 bed covid surge ward operating as and when required
You will have overall clinical, professional and managerial responsibility for the ward on a 24-hr basis.
Applicants should have RN1 Adult level registration with the NMC, a health-related degree as well as extensive clinical experience including evidence of management experience
The post demands excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills. A sound knowledge of effective individual staff management and good team leading skills are essential.
The successful applicant will be required to register with the Disclosure Scotland PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme).
