We are recruiting for the Senior Charge Nurse position in our Acute Admissions (Ward 2) for working age adults at Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
This role involves leading the ward, ensuring high standards of clinical practice, multi-professional collaboration, and person-centred mental health nursing. Applicants should demonstrate advanced mental health nursing skills, preferably with recent inpatient experience, and have an understanding of operational team management. Strong leadership and inspiring others are key traits.
The Senior Charge Nurse (SCN) role combines operational management and clinical leadership. The SCN reports to the Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) for acute inpatient mental health services and helps deliver services within the acute Mental Health Unit (MHU), including resource management, risk assessment, and patient flow optimization.
Joining the MHU leadership team offers valuable experience and an opportunity to contribute to inpatient service development.
