About Interlude & Jean Delport

Chef Jean brought his distinctive style from South Africa to the UK, earning a Michelin star within a year of opening and a Green Michelin Star for sustainability in 2023. His cooking is rooted in foraging, hyper-seasonality, and estate-grown produce - all set within the stunning Leonardslee Gardens estate in West Sussex.

At Interlude, foraging is not just a culinary technique; it's a philosophy shared across the entire kitchen team. Chefs head out into the woodlands, gardens, and grounds to hand-pick ingredients - from wild herbs and edible flowers to mushrooms and berries - all of which inspire the ever-evolving tasting menu.
