Job summary

Mott MacDonald in the UK is seeking a Principal Designer (Advisor) / CDM / Health & Safety Specialist to join the Energy Division on major energy frameworks. You will help shape safe design practices and ensure compliance with CDM 2015 across the project lifecycle, working with multidisciplinary teams on power generation and transmission projects.

Key responsibilities include developing CDM and Building Safety Act compliance strategies, supporting pre-construction information, hazard and risk

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or technical degree in engineering, energy, construction, or related field.
• Recognised health and safety qualification (NEBOSH Construction minimum).
• Chartered or working toward chartership (IET, CIOB, ICE, RICS, IOSH, CABE, RIBA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience advising on CDM Regulations within energy and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain project-level CDM and Building Safety Act compliance strategies.
• Support clients in identifying, obtaining, and managing pre-construction information.
• Review designers’ hazard and risk information and support hazard register management.
• Work with designers to identify, eliminate, or control foreseeable risks.
• Guide safe design through construction, operation, and maintenance stages.
• Assist in preparing and completing the Health & Safety File.
