Senior Category Manager - Software

Location: London or Leeds (Hybrid - 3 days in office)

Salary: Up to £90,000 plus a strong benefits package

Contract Type: Permanent

Grafton Recruitment is working with a large international client to appoint a senior procurement professional with experience in leading software categories. This is an exciting newly created role within a dynamic and growing organisation.

Responsibilities:
  • Leading strategy around the software categories internationally.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert on software for the procurement team.
  • Leading and developing strategy around the supplier portfolio.
  • Developing and leading high-value and complex negotiations for the category internationally.
  • Managing relationships with suppliers and overseeing their performance.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience of managing procurement for IT-based categories (ideally software-focused).
  • Development and implementation of category strategy.
  • Strong track record of internal and external relationship management.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial and negotiation skills.
  • Consultative approach, capable of taking on a client-facing role.
