Job summary

Encirc, part of the Vidrala group, is seeking a Category Manager to lead procurement across the relevant category and develop the category team. Reporting into the Head of Category, you will advance procurement strategy, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier performance to meet production demands across Derrylin and Elton sites.

Key requirements include a degree in procurement or related field, proven purchasing experience in manufacturing, value-driven strategies, and ERP (SAP) and Excel

Qualifications

• Degree level or professional qualification in procurement / supply chain
• Proven purchasing experience in manufacturing
• Experience developing best value strategies
• Strong negotiating skills in a fast-paced matrix organisation
• ERP systems experience (SAP) and Excel proficiency

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities and manage the category team
• Develop and implement procurement strategy; negotiate supplier contracts
• Manage category spend £10m-£40m and ensure on-site delivery
• Be escalation point for day-to-day supply challenges; liaise with Head of Category
• Align materials delivery with production demand across Encirc plants
