About the role

We're seeking a strategic and commercially-minded Senior Category Manager to join our growing Procurement team in London. This high-impact role involves cross-category responsibilities, offering the opportunity to shape and execute our procurement strategy across multiple functions (People, Talent, Facilities, and Professional Services). This key hire aims to professionalise and optimise our procurement capabilities. You will own multiple procurement categories, build strong supplier and stakeholder relationships, and lead initiatives to drive value, reduce costs, and embed procurement best practices throughout the organisation.

What you'll do
  • Category Ownership: Manage end-to-end categories including People, Talent, Facilities, and Professional Services.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business priorities and supplier opportunities.
  • Procurement Delivery: Lead procurement activities such as requests, contract renewals, and negotiations.
  • Vendor Management: Drive supplier rationalisation to optimise costs and operational efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with functional leads and senior management to embed procurement strategies and support project delivery.
  • Commercial Collaboration: Work with our commercial team to ensure value-added services and market knowledge sharing.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing performance, compliance, and value delivery within your categories.
  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional initiatives like office growth, relocations, and system rationalisation.
  • Process Improvement: Promote procurement best practices, policies, and governance.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Ensure adherence to procedures across Legal, Security, Privacy, Finance, and other teams.
What you'll need
  • Proven experience in cross-category procurement or category management
  • Track record of delivering cost savings and supplier performance improvements
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Experience in risk mitigation and opportunity maximisation
  • Ability to work independently and build collaborative relationships
  • Strategic thinking to translate business needs into procurement actions
  • Experience in a fast-paced, scaling environment is preferred
