Job summary

Aon plc in London is seeking a Senior Casualty Broker to join our UK Retail Broking team with some flexibility for home working. You will lead design, strategy and placement of casualty programmes, while guiding new business development and client engagement.

The role requires strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills, with a focus on building trusted relationships with clients, prospects and insurers, and mentoring colleagues to raise service standards.

Qualifications

• ACII certification or studying towards.
• Detailed knowledge of commercial insurance market practice.
• Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Take a leading role, working with London and regional offices in the design, strategy and placement of casualty programmes.
• Lead the development and conversion of new business; oversee prospecting, broking design and presentations.
• Lead the design and implementation of the overarching broking strategy across all classes for key clients.
• Maintain close engagement with clients and insurers; align solutions with objectives and priorities.
• Provide feedback on market outlook and communicate our recommended broking strategy.
• Build and manage relationships with senior Aon stakeholders and insurers.
• Support development of colleagues and ensure placement decisions comply with strategy.
• Place business in accordance with the UK broking strategy and procedures.
• Resolve contentious placing issues/disputes with insurers.
• Share market knowledge proactively in a timely and effective manner.
