About Finance at THG

About the Role

THG Ingenuity seeks to recruit a Senior Reconciliation Specialist to support the finance function, focusing on Cash in Transit reconciliations. You will manage a team of up to 3 and report to the Group Finance Director. Your main responsibility will be ensuring the accurate and timely reconciliation of all web sale orders and refunds processed across our platform, acting as the point of contact for issues related to payment provider data and their resolution.

Responsibilities

• Staff management, including mentoring and coaching team members
• Serve as SME for Payment Provider Settlement reconciliation
• Forecast transaction fees and cash in transit weekly and monthly
• Escalate and resolve queries
• Manage stakeholders, working closely with the Ingenuity Finance Director team to embed efficient processes

Requirements

• Attention to detail and analytical skills
• Professional finance qualification preferred; relevant industry experience considered
• Strong computer, numeracy, and literacy skills
• Experience with reconciliations, multiple currencies, and high volumes
• Excel skills: sumifs, vlookups, pivot tables
• Experience with Sage or similar ERP systems preferred
• Self-driven, enthusiastic, motivated
• Good communication skills, confident and assertive
• Excellent time management
• Ability to work under pressure, disciplined, committed to continuous improvement
