Job Opportunity: Senior Carer

An exciting new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Carer to work in an exceptional care home based in Hastings, East Sussex. You will be working for one of the UK's leading healthcare providers.

This charming, purpose-built residential home provides high-quality residential care in a loving and friendly environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hold an NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that all care, domestic, and kitchen staff contribute to the efficient running of the Home and a positive atmosphere.
  2. Assist residents with their personal care needs.
  3. Answer call bells, emergency bells, the door, and the telephone; greet visitors.
  4. Coordinate with healthcare professionals to meet residents' healthcare needs.
  5. Assist in the care of residents who are unwell or nearing end of life.
  6. Promote mental and physical activities for residents through the key worker system, including talking, outings, reading, hobbies, and recreations.
  7. Help complete Care Plans for residents and participate in resident reviews.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Understanding of residents' needs.
  • Experience in safe medication administration.
  • Respect for confidentiality.
  • Experience in providing care and training others in care duties.
  • Genuine interest in working in the care sector.
  • Flexible attitude and openness to new challenges.
