Job summary

Mears Group is recruiting a Senior Support Worker in Turriff to mentor care teams and oversee service delivery, supporting individuals with more complex needs. The role requires an adaptable approach beyond a standard 9–5 schedule and involves collaboration with social workers and other professionals.

Salary is an hourly rate of £14.22 plus mileage, with a permanent full-time contract (40 hours per week). A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are required; background checks

Qualifications

  • Support and guide care staff to deliver person-centred care.
  • Carry out spot checks, audits and observations in service users' homes.
  • Attend meetings with social workers and other professionals.
  • Monitor care standards and ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and safeguarding throughout the service.
  • Report concerns, incidents and progress to your line manager.
  • Participate in on-call rota and provide emergency/holiday cover when needed.
  • Promote a safe working environment and contribute to team meetings.
  • SVQ Level 2 or above is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Support Worker to join our team. This is not a standard Monday to Friday, 9-5 role-flexibility is essential and will be reciprocated. You'll play a key role in mentoring care teams, overseeing service delivery, and supporting individuals with more complex needs.

Key Criteria

  • An SVQ Level 2 qualification or above is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided
