Job summary

Nurse Seekers is recruiting an experienced Senior Care Assistant for a respected residential care home in Hessle. You will lead shifts, mentor care staff and ensure residents receive compassionate, person-centred care around the clock.

With strong medication administration experience and a commitment to safeguarding, you will work closely with management to maintain high standards, accurate records and a safe, welcoming environment for residents and their families.

Qualifications

• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it).
• Minimum of 5 years' experience within a residential care environment.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring a care team.
• Strong medication administration experience (essential).

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts, ensuring exceptional standards of care are maintained throughout.
• Support, mentor and motivate Care Assistants during each shift; allocate workloads.
• Deliver high-quality personal care tailored to each resident's individual needs; promote dignity and independence.
• Maintain accurate care records and daily documentation, update care plans and safeguard principles.
