Job summary

CareTech is seeking a Deputy Manager to lead a care service in Smethwick, Birmingham. The role involves deputising for the manager, supervising staff, and ensuring a high standard of person-centered care for adults.

You will coordinate assessments, develop care plans, and monitor quality measures. Ideal candidates will have Health & Social Level 3 Adults, experience with autism and learning disabilities, and strong communication and writing skills.

Qualifications

• Health & Social Level 3 Adults is essential.
• Experience of working with adults with autism.
• Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Ability to lead, supervise and deputise for the manager.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate assessments of service users and draw up service plans.
• Review and update service plans to meet individual needs.
• Allocate responsibilities to staff to implement service plans.
• Provide individual support and assess specialist support when required.
• Enable service users to express views and influence plan objectives.
• Develop training opportunities for service users.
• Communicate information to service users about contracts, quality measures and complaints.
• Maintain high standards of professional care at all times.
• Foster positive contact with families and carers.
• Staffing and staff leadership.
