About the role :

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Care Manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team of passionate and committed aged care professionals at our Nangatta facility.

You will be responsible for :

  • Providing clinical leadership and support to nursing and care staff in accordance with UA policies and procedures and the Residential Aged Care Standards
  • Managing all aspects of clinical care, including assessments, care planning and ongoing evaluation of client care to ensure individual needs of clients are met and the quality of life for the resident is optimised
  • Liaising with residents, families and other health professionals
  • Monitoring clinical risks and contributing to continuous improvement strategies
  • Promoting staff awareness of all professional and legal requirements affecting their roles and monitoring compliance
  • Providing clinical and managerial leadership, mentoring and supervision to nursing and care staff to promote a harmonious team approach to ensure the delivery of high quality resident care
  • Fixed term full time Monday to Friday 7am-3pm

About you :

This is the place for you if you have :

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Div 1 Registered nurse
  • Previous experience in clinical management roles within aged care, with a clear commitment for achieving contemporary, best practice person-centred care in the workplace
  • Proven leadership capabilities, demonstrated through previous managerial experience
  • Demonstrated up-to-date knowledge and skills in Contemporary Aged Care Services and the Residential Aged Care Standards
  • Ability to complete Key Personnel documentation and requirements
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
  • Commitment to being part of a workplace culture based on the BEST way of life (Believe, Excel, Support and Trust)

Essentials for working in Aged Care :

  • A current Working With Children Check card
  • Current and ongoing flu and vaccinations
  • Ability to pass a National Police Clearance and Key Personnel requirements
