Job summary

Agincare's Dorchester care home seeks a Registered Manager to lead a warm, safe environment and drive high-quality care across the team. You will ensure compassionate, dignified care and excellence in every interaction with residents.

The role requires 40 hours per week, with a focus on regulatory compliance and outstanding leadership. Agincare offers up to £60,000 per year, a referral bonus, funded training up to QCF level 5, and a company pension scheme.

Qualifications

• 12 months on your right to work in the UK
• Management qualification at QCF level 4 or equivalent or willingness to work towards this qualification
• Registration in a residential service preferable
• Demonstrable up-to-date knowledge of the care sector including running a care home and regulatory framework
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Experience of working with vulnerable client groups
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Leading the team to provide a safe, caring, responsive and effective service for residents
• Ensure residents understand care and treatment choices and that care promotes dignity and individuality
• Liaise with residents, staff, health professionals and others to adapt plans to needs
• Carry out quality auditing and take corrective action if concerns arise
• Implement effective risk assessments to protect residents and safety
• Induct new staff and ensure ongoing training, motivation, supervision and support
• Manage staffing and contingency plans for unexpected absence
• Investigate safeguarding, abuse or service delivery concerns and notify relevant parties
