Job description

You will lead and coordinate shifts, ensuring care staff work together to create a smooth and supportive environment. You'll provide hands-on care, supporting residents with dressing, bathing, mobility, and personal routines—always prioritising dignity and independence. You'll manage medication administration and documentation with accuracy, while maintaining up-to-date care plans and risk assessments that reflect each resident's individual needs. You'll play an active role in fostering open, compassionate communication with residents, their families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues. You'll welcome visitors, show prospective families around the home, and respond quickly to any emergencies. You'll participate in training, team meetings, and personal development activities, always ensuring health and safety standards are followed and concerns are escalated appropriately.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (essential)
  2. Actively working towards NVQ Level 3 (preferred)
  3. Medication administration training with current competencies
  4. Experience leading or mentoring care teams
  5. A compassionate, respectful, and fun approach to person-centred care
  6. Strong communication and delegation skills
