Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It informs our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes, where residents are cared for with dignity, security and independence. You will know our residents and their families and contribute to delivering truly personalised care plans. You will lead a team of Care Assistants and help maintain the highest standards of care, influencing the team to provide compassionate, person‑centred support. You may assist with activities of daily living, support residents and families, and work with the Registered Nurse and Care Manager to deliver essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and may administer medication. You will maintain accurate records of your work and build strong relationships with the team.   • Provide support in dementia and other care settings, including helping with daily living activities and end‑of‑life care where appropriate.
  • Adhere to safeguarding policies and escalate concerns as needed; participate in safeguarding training relevant to the role.
Qualifications
  • Ideally, Level 2 Diploma/SNVQ in Adult Care and willingness to work towards Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Background in person‑centred care planning and knowledge of caring for people with dementia.
  • Strong record‑keeping skills and effective time management.
  • Positive energy, ability to get along with people, and a truly considerate and kind approach to residents and colleagues.
