Job description

Location: 35 Bothwell Road, Uddingston, South Lanarkshire, G71 7HA

Located in the picturesque and historic area of South Lanarkshire, our luxury 75-bed care home provides residential, dementia, nursing, and respite care in a warm and welcoming environment.

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to lead and support our night team, ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of care. Your leadership will play a vital role in maintaining a positive and compassionate atmosphere in our home.

What You’ll Do
  1. Lead the Night Team – Oversee and support care staff, ensuring a smooth-running shift
  2. Deliver High-Quality Care – Assist residents with personal care, mobility, and daily routines
  3. Administer Medication – Manage, document, and oversee medication processes
  4. Person-Centred Approach – Uphold dignity, independence, and wellbeing in every interaction
  5. Team Leadership – Provide guidance, mentorship, and motivation to your team
  6. Documentation & Compliance – Keep care plans and risk assessments up to date
  7. Respond to Emergencies – Act swiftly and professionally to ensure resident safety
What We Offer
  1. £13.00 per hour (Full time or Part Time contract)
  2. Shift: 8PM – 8AM (Full-time & part-time contracts available)
  3. £500 Welcome Bonus (£250 after 3 months, £250 after 6 months)

What We’re Looking For
  1. SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or actively working towards it)
  2. Medication administration training & competency
  3. Strong leadership skills – Ability to guide, support, and motivate a team
