Responsibilities of our Senior Care Assistant - fixed term include:

1. Leading, managing and supporting your care team ensuring high quality of care and service is always provided to all residents
2. Ensuring care plans are regularly reviewed with continuous assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of residents' care
3. Engaging with residents in conversation at a level and pace that values the individual and respects their dignity and communication differences
4. Administering and recording medication as prescribed, with accurate monitoring of drug dose to the residents in the home
5. Ensuring that each resident's dignity and independence is always preserved and promoted
6. Encouraging each resident to achieve the highest possible quality of life that is right for them
7. Encouraging and assisting residents to participate in discussions relating to their daily living arrangements
8. Assisting where necessary with each resident's personal care

What we're looking for in our Senior Care Assistant - fixed term:

To be successful in this role, you will have a genuine caring nature and a desire to make a real difference for our residents. Prior experience as a Care Assistant or Support worker is essential, though prior leadership or supervisory experience is not required as full training and mentoring are provided. Our residents typically live with age-related conditions, life-limiting health conditions, and physical disabilities that require dignified support. It is essential that candidates are patient, understanding, and respectful of our residents' individual abilities.

This role is based at St Michaels Care Centre, in the heart of Waddington in Lincolnshire. The home caters to 40 residents with age-related conditions, physical disabilities, mental health conditions, and some with Dementia. Candidates must be patient, understanding, and respectful of individual abilities.
