Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for night shifts at Mousehold View Care Home in Norwich. You will contribute to high standards of personal care in a safe, compassionate environment.

You will monitor residents’ wellbeing, support care plans, and assist with medication, while also supervising colleagues and liaising with families and health professionals to ensure any concerns are addressed promptly.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in care (or equivalent) is required.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Positive attitude towards residents and staff, with responsive and flexible approach.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be tosupportand work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open,supportive, andinclusiveenvironment for residents, visitors and staff.

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Have a positive attitude to bothsupporting and nurturing residents and staff.
• Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
