Job summary

Mariposa Care Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant (Nights) based at Derwent care home. The role combines hands-on care with supervisory duties to ensure residents receive the best possible care while mentoring colleagues.

You will coach and mentor your team, supervise personal care, oversee care plans, and dispense medications with meticulous record keeping to maintain safety and dignity for residents.

Qualifications

• Health and social care qualification at Level 3 or equivalent, or commitment to undertake relevant training.
• Good English and numeracy skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and mentoring the team to ensure confidence and skill in every part of their role.
• Supporting residents with personal care while upholding dignity, respect and privacy.
• Ensuring up-to-date care plans are followed by the team.

If you’ve got experience in care and have previously helped to supervise a team, this could be the perfect role for you.

What’s the job about?

As a Senior Carer, you’ll combine hands‑on care with supervisory duties. It’s all about ensuring that every resident receives the very best care while mentoring and supporting your colleagues to be their best. Here’s a flavour of what you’ll be doing:

• Supporting residents with a range of personal care needs, while making sure dignity, respect and privacy are always maintained.
