Overview

This role as a Senior Care Assistant at Avery Healthcare in Kingswood offers a competitive salary of £13.50 per hour for a permanent position. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the care team in delivering high-quality, personalized care to residents in a safe, caring, and inclusive environment.

Main duties

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes impacting their care, and ensuring that new needs are met. You will be involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating care plans. Additionally, you will support residents with their medication requirements, undertake staff supervisions, and act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and health/social care professionals.

About the role

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff. Other responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changes impacting care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records amended to reflect any variation.
  • Being involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
  • Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
  • Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.
