Job summary

Oakland Care in Harpenden is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join our compassionate team. You will lead a team of Health Care Assistants, help with personal care, meals, and daily living tasks, and administer medications according to training.

This permanent night-shift role offers 42 hours a week at £14.30 per hour. We value teamwork, patient dignity, and high-quality, person-centred care for residents.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in delivering care or as a Senior Care Assistant.
• Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or working towards it).
• Trained in medication administration.
• Excellent people and customer service skills.
• Ability to induct, supervise and mentor junior staff.
• Time management to delegate tasks within a team.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written, including care plans.
• Caring attitude.
• Flexible and reliable.
