Night Senior Care Assistant
Location: Glenholme Vera James House, Ely, Cambridgeshire,
Rate of Pay: £13.25 per hour
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours

We are looking for dedicated, compassionate and hardworking Night Senior Care Assistants who want to make a real difference. The ideal candidate will have a Level 2 NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care and be working towards or willing to undertake a Level 3 qualification.

Your Responsibilities as a Night Senior Care Assistant:

You will be part of a dedicated team that helps residents live with dignity and independence, promoting choice and inclusion. Your role will include:

  • Leading and supervising care staff on shift
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Supporting personal care and daily living tasks
  • Medication management and administration
  • Developing, maintaining, and reviewing care plans
  • Supporting individuals with end-of-life care needs
  • Working closely with residents’ families and being a part of the Glenholme community

About Vera James House

Vera James House is a purpose-built residential care home for older people situated in the historic centre of Ely within walking distance of the market place and the cathedral. The scheme has 42 single rooms, all with ensuite facilities. Vera James House is designated to support older people living with dementia and other related illnesses, and residents who require permanent or respite care in a residential setting.
