Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Senior Care Assistant for Middleton Lodge Care Home in Littleover, Derby. You will work with the care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring environment and support residents with their needs throughout your shift.

The role requires a DBS disclosure check paid by Avery and proof of eligibility to work in the UK. Join a dedicated team committed to compassionate care and professional development.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a similar care environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Positive attitude toward residents and staff.
• Responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Support and work with the care team to deliver high standards of personal care.
• Contribute to person-centred care planning and monthly evaluations.
• Assist residents with medication requirements.
• Undertake staff supervisions and support development where needed.
• Act as a key contact with residents, relatives, and health and social care professionals.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive , and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff .

Other responsibilitieswillinclude:

• Monitoringthe wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any changeimpactingon care and care plans, ensuring that new needs aremet,and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
• Beinginvolved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing,monitoring,and undertaking monthly evaluations.
• Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
• Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
• Actingas a key point for contact with residents, theirrelativesand visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are actedupon,and concerns or complaints are escalated.

• Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
• Have 2 years’ experience working in similar care environment.

• Beresponsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
