Job description

Maesglas Care Home is situated in the village of Holt, Wrexham. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will help and support your team to provide high-quality care and support to elderly individuals, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being. You will work closely with residents to assist them with daily activities and promote their independence while fostering a warm and friendly environment.
Shift times: 19:45 to 08:00
Responsibilities
• Monitor and record residents' health , update care plans and report any changes to managers or alert health professionals as necessary.
• Administer and record medication accurately. Please note: you MUST have experience in this before we can consider your application.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents.
• Organise and supervise junior team members to ensure the highest standards of care are met.
• Liaise with families and health professionals in a clear and professional manner
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive atmosphere.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations as well as company policies.
Requirements
• Previous experience in the care sector at a supervisory level.
• A genuine passion for working with the elderly and providing compassionate care.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently when required.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
• A relevant qualification in health or social care Please note: you MUST have NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Adults services) or equivalent OR be able to show that you are working towards it, before we can consider your application.
