Job summary

Connaught Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead on the floor across shifts in our luxury care home setting. You’ll mentor team members, manage care plans, medications, and handovers while delivering compassionate, person-centred care to residents, including those living with dementia.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Deliver outstanding person-centred care while leading by example across the shift

Support and mentor care assistants, ensuring best practice and kindness underpin everything

Assist with medication administration, care plans, risk assessments and handovers

Be the senior point of contact on the floor—managing priorities, responding to resident needs, and supporting the team in the moment .

Build trusted relationships with residents and their families, offering reassurance, empathy and clear communication

Maintain accurate records and uphold the highest standards of care, dignity, and respect

What You’ll Bring:

Experience as a Care Assistant with a Level 3

A calm, confident presence and natural ability to lead with empathy and integrity

Excellent communication and organisational skills
