About The Role

Senior Care Assistant - 28 or 35 hours per week available.

Meadowyrthe is recruiting a Senior Care Assistant to work within a busy dementia care home.

Shift patterns: 7am - 2.30pm and 2.30pm - 10pm, alternate weekends.

Meadowyrthe Residential Home is a 41-bed facility located in Meadowyrthe, Staffordshire. As a Senior Care Assistant with Nexxus, you will look after the diverse needs of our residents to deliver quality care, supervise, and help lead a team alongside the registered manager.

Some duties may include:

• Providing leadership to care staff and managing shifts efficiently
• Completing staff supervisions and spot checks, supporting staff development
• Promoting independence and encouraging appropriate risk-taking
• Understanding person-centred care and care plans, respecting individual choices
• Completing audits within the home
• Administering medication
• Engaging with service users, families, and external agencies

What we need from you:

• Ability to work shifts between 7am and 10pm (e.g., 7am-2.30pm or 2.30pm-10pm)
• Desire to provide respectful personal care and support
• Right to work in the UK (proofs such as passport, Visa)
• Willingness to complete a DBS check (initial cost covered)
• Provide at least two professional references
• Attend a 3-day classroom-based induction (paid training)
• Complete mandatory e-learning during probation
