About The Role

Senior Care Assistant

Meadowyrthe is recruiting a Senior Care Assistant to work within a busy dementia care home.

Shift patterns: 7am - 2.30pm and 2.30pm - 10pm, alternate weekends.

Meadowyrthe Residential Home is a 41-bed Residential facility in Meadowyrthe, Staffordshire. As a senior care assistant with Nexxus, you will look after the diverse needs of our residents, ensuring quality care while supervising and leading a team alongside the registered manager.

Some duties may include:

• Providing leadership to care staff and running shifts efficiently
• Completing staff supervisions and spot checks, supporting their development
• Promoting independence and encouraging appropriate risk-taking
• Understanding person-centred care and care plans, respecting individual choices
• Completing audits within the home
• Administering medication
• Involving service users, families, and external agencies

What we need from you:

• Availability to work shifts between 7am and 10pm (e.g., 7am-2.30pm or 2.30pm-10pm)
• Desire to provide personal care respecting residents' rights and choices
• Legal right to work in the UK (passport, visa)
• Ability to pass a DBS check (initial cost covered)
• Provide at least two professional references from previous employers
• Attend a 3-day classroom-based induction, paid training included
• Complete mandatory e-learning during probation
