Job summary

Mayflower Residential Home in Llantarnam near Cwmbran, South Wales, is seeking an experienced Senior Care Assistant to cover day and night shifts. The role offers permanent, part-time and full-time options with a variety of shift patterns including evenings and weekends.

You will look after the physical, emotional and social needs of clients using a person-centred approach, and support other care workers while adhering to policies and DBS checks.

Qualifications

• Previous care experience is desirable but not essential.
• Level 3 Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards a qualification.
• DBS check will be required on appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to Clients with a wide range of needs.
• Assist Clients with morning routines and bedtime routines.
• Assist with washing, bathing, dressing and personal hygiene.
• Support Clients with skin, teeth, hair and nails care.
• Record care and medication activities accurately and follow care plans.
