Job summary

Highgate Care is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to help deliver person-centred care at Highfield Care Centre in Allerton Bywater, West Yorkshire. The role involves supporting residents with daily living, maintaining dignity, and contributing to a warm, compassionate home environment.

You will work 33 hours per week on a permanent basis, including occasional evenings and weekends, with a salary of £14.59 per hour. Sponsorship is not available at this time.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or willingness to obtain.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends.
• Organised, reliable and able to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily living while maintaining dignity.
• Assist in training and supervising junior staff.
• Monitor residents with mobility issues and use aids.
• Record care plans and daily notes.
• Support social activities and hobbies in the home.
• Answer nurse calls, door, and telephone, pass messages.
