Job Title: Senior Care Assistant
Location: Trowbridge
Hours: 36.75 hours per week (including alternate weekends)
Rate of Pay: GBP15.22 per hour, increase for weekend working

We are a warm and welcoming residential care home committed to providing exceptional care and support for our residents. Our team is passionate about making a difference in people s lives, and we are looking for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join us in delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently delivered. You will lead by example, supervise and support care staff, and work closely with the management team to maintain a safe, caring, and homely environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate, and person-centred care to residents.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support care assistants during shifts.
  • Assist with care planning, record-keeping, and accurate documentation.
  • Support residents with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities.
  • Administer medication in line with policies and procedures (training provided if required).
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the wider team.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a senior care role ideally (residential, nursing, or similar environment).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and committed to high standards of care.
  • Flexibility to work alternate weekends and a variety of shifts.
