Job summary

Sterling Cross Ltd in Wirral is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to join a well-established residential care service. You will lead and support Care Assistants, delivering hands-on, person-centred care to older residents, including those with dementia.

You will oversee daily activities, care planning and medication support, maintaining high standards of care while working in a friendly team. NVQ Level 3 (or Level 2 with willingness to progress) and UK Right to Work are required.

Qualifications

• Previous residential care home experience.
• Able to lead and support Care Assistants in a busy environment.
• Demonstrates person-centred care approach for older residents, including those with dementia.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Care Assistants to deliver hands-on, person-centred care.
• Oversee daily activities and routines for residents.
• Contribute to care planning and review processes.
• Assist with medication support as required to maintain safety and quality of care.

You’ll deliver hands‑on, person‑centred care while leading and supporting Care Assistants, overseeing daily activities, care planning and medication support to ensure high standards of care.

About You

• Previous residential care home experience
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care with willingness to work towards NVQ Level 3
• Unrestricted UK Right to Work; please note, this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship
