Job summary

Hartford Care Ltd. is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for day shifts at Moorhill Care Home in Southampton. The role involves leading a daytime care team and delivering high-quality, person-centred care to residents.

You will supervise shifts, support colleagues, and ensure dignity and independence for residents while maintaining a warm, caring atmosphere. A L3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care and prior care experience are essential.

Job description

This position will include an additional £2,000 attraction payment which will be paid as £1,000.00 on joining and £1,000.00 on completion of the probationary period. This will only be valid for direct applications not through an agency. T&C's apply.

Senior Care Assistant - Day shifts

Full-time & Part-time hours available (includes alternate weekend working)

Location: Moorhill Care Home - Southampton, Hampshire (SO30 3AZ)

The Role

As a Day Senior Care Assistant, you will provide high quality, individualised care and support to residents during the day time, promoting each person’s privacy, dignity and independence, be responsible for supervising and leading the shift and team members, and working together as a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere.

Whether you are carrying out a direct observation on a care assistant who is assisting someone to eat their lunch, checking that a resident’s activities log has been completed, giving a detailed handover to the team on the next shift, or assisting a resident to get dressed in the morning, you will do so with care at the heart of everything you do.
