Senior Care Assistant

Are you a Senior Care Assistant looking to further develop your skills? Our Senior Care Assistants play a key role in ensuring each person living within our homes receives the care they need to live a fulfilling life.

Rates of pay:

• NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care: £12.81 per hour
• NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care: £13.80 per hour

Shifts: Days - Part-time and Full-time shifts available, 22hrs – 44hrs per week

Introduction to the role

Orchard Care Homes is committed to delivering high-quality, individualized care. Our focus is on appropriate medication management and meaningful activities for residents.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will assess individual needs, develop person-centered care plans, and ensure medical, physical, and emotional needs are met. Additional training on medication administration is provided to ensure competency.

Previous experience in Older People’s care or dementia care is preferred. A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care is desirable, but Level 2 qualified candidates will be supported to achieve Level 3 through our career pathway.

Main Duties:

• Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate high standards of personalized nursing care.
• Ensure residents are treated with respect and dignity, respecting their privacy, independence, and choices.
• Lead, support, and develop the care team.
• Maintain excellent communication with residents, families, and external professionals.
