Job summary

Hartford Care Ltd in Basildon is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for day shifts (33 hours per week) to provide high quality care and support to residents, promoting dignity and independence while supervising the shift.

You will lead a small care team, coordinate handovers, and ensure compassionate, person-centred care, with DBS clearance and a Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care preferred.

Location: Primecare, Basildon, Essex (SS16 4QL)

The Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will provide high quality, individualised care and support to residents during the night time, promoting each person’s privacy, dignity and independence, be responsible for supervising and leading the shift and team members, and working together as a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere.

Whether you are carrying out a direct observation on a care assistant supporting someone to have a late night snack, checking that a resident’s turning chart has been completed, giving a detailed handover to the morning team, or assisting a resident to get ready for bed in the evening, you will do so with care at the heart of everything you do.

Requirements

Essential:

• At least 2 years’ experience as a Care Assistant in residential care
• Completed an L3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care

• Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
